The role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and diligent SCRUM Master to support our development teams through the process of defining and delivering multiple large and smaller custom software development projects.

On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for guiding the development team through the execution of build tasks, continuously validating user stories across projects to ensure that they are in line with what was originally agreed with the customer, fully defined, and that they meet all the necessary criteria for commitment to the development team. You will also be responsible for ensuring that any scope changes are fully documented, correctly estimated, technically robust and agreed with the relevant account or programme manager.

If you understand how to facilitate planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups while communicating delivery issues, dependencies and risks to the roadmap in a way that is clear to all stakeholders as well as how to provide  management reporting on  delivery status (for example velocity, burn-down charts), as well as how to coach and mentor team members, facilitate workshops and engage in structured problem solving, then this could be the role for you.

A perfect match for us would be someone with a BSc in a STEM subject, certified SCRUM Master credentials, experience managing multiple stakeholders at all levels of the business and an extensive record of successful agile deliveries. You should have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as being a passionate and deeply knowledgeable advocate for a variety of agile methodology and practices, with a focus on driving continuous improvement through the development team.

Skills and knowledge

  • B.Sc. in any of the STEM fields or equivalent demonstrable work experience
  • Proven industry experience with an extensive record of successful Agile project deliveries.
  • Demonstrable experience of working within a scrum environment.
  • Demonstrable understanding of scrum reporting mechanisms.
  • Demonstrable experience of coaching, mentoring, workshop facilitation and structures problem solving.
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of a wide range of best Agile software development methods.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders from all levels of the business.
  • Certified Scrum Master credentials.
