LEO Learning cyclists complete Capital to Coast challenge

At LEO Learning, we pride ourselves on our bold, brave and pioneering people, who put themselves through both mental and physical challenges for success. This weekend, LEO Learning’s cyclists got on their bikes for two gruelling challenges.

The LEO Learning team took first to the Preston Park velodrome in Brighton for a series of Active After Work races in a Brighton Council-supported event. Steve Marshall, Mark Aberdour, Jo Chester, James Gowen, Jake Story and Ed Dickins put in a solid performance, finishing in second place overall. But that was just the start of their weekend on two wheels…

On Sunday, following many weeks of training and preparation, Team LEO Learning Learning hit the road for the Capital to Coast challenge, an intense 60 mile race (or for Mark Aberdour, an amazing 100 miles on the longer London to Brighton route).

A massive well done to the Active After Work competitors and everyone who completed the Capital to Coast race on Sunday – Piers Lea, Mark Aberdour, Steve Marshall, Preston Parris, James Gowen, James Hough, Jo Chester, Ben Catchpole, Richard Jones and Jake Story.

At the time of writing, the team have raised an incredible £1,177.61 for Norwood and the Downs Syndrome Association, and we would love to hit our target of £1,300. If you want to show your support for our brave riders, there is still time, and all donations are very much appreciated. A massive thank you to everyone who has already supported our cyclists!

Watch out for another post coming very soon about LEO Learning’s resident endurance cyclist, Ishmael Burdeau, who will be participating in the European Transcontinental Race in July.
