LEO Learning will be attending MoodleMoot UK and Ireland again this year, which is taking place between the 10th and 12th April at Plaza Riverbank London.
MoodleMoot conferences encourage collaboration and sharing of best practices of Moodle, the open source learning platform, and take place around the world.
We are pleased to be giving the following two talks during the London event:
Moodle and xAPI: The story so far
Presenters: Mark Aberdour, Platforms Solutions Manager and Sacha van Tienhoven, Director of Technology
Summary: Mark first presented about xAPI back at Moodlemoot UK and Ireland 2013, when the fledgling standard was called Project Tin Can and wanted to kickstart the conversation about why and how this might be used in Moodle. In this presentation, we summarise work that has happened from across the community in the 4 years since then, how xAPI has been adopted across the learning technologies world more generally and what lies on the road ahead.
Measuring the impact of learning in Moodle
Presenter: Peter Dobinson, Solutions Architect
Summary: Slowly but surely the business demand to show evidence of the impact learning in the workplace is becoming an important part of the L&D world. Is this true in your organisation? In this seminar, Peter Dobinson of LEO Learning will take you through some of the options now available in Moodle, and in particular with the advent of new technologies such as xAPI. These range from powerful integrated systems to some of the much more simple approaches you may want to consider initially. We will also cover the five fundamental questions you should be asking before you get started with an impact measurement initiative.
